MenuScan enables you to take a photo of a whisky list inside of a bar or restaurant and receive detailed insights about the whiskies:

MenuScans are auto-saved and accessible at any time:
- Tap the "Ordered" button on any whisky to keep track of what you liked (you can input your own ratings and commentary)
- We keep track of how much you've saved, venues where you ordered whiskies, etc. with Whisky Savings
- World travelers: we do all the menu price conversion for you, and can report out savings in your home currency
- Add whiskies to your Favorites, Whishlist, or Collection while you're sipping so you never forget a dram
- Tap the icon (Red Marker, like you're a fourth grade teacher correcting a math test) link if we've served you up the wrong Whisky to either swap it out, or request a new Whisky Mates whisky
How it works - the nerdy stuff:
- You are prompted to provide temporary access to your camera (not your photos (!), we just use the camera to take the picture)
- We use OCR, machine learning, and AI (yes, real AI) to process the image and identify whisky types, names, and prices
- We fuzzy match that info to whiskies in our system
- We display whiskies we know you'll like based on your sorting and filtering selections, or your selected Favorites
- Over time, the actions you take with WhiskyScan will help us improve our recommendations even more
