Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). Nose: Complex, spicy, with notes of sandalwood, coconut, vanilla, exotic spices, honey, dried fruit, and sweet oak.
Palate: Powerful, creamy, with notes of dark chocolate, honey, cloves, roasted malt, and subtle nuances of incense, leather, and floral notes imparted by the Mizunara oak.
Finish: Long, complex, with a warm blend of vanilla, oak spice, and subtle smokiness.
