Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). Tasting Notes
Nose: Complex, spicy, with notes of sandalwood, coconut, vanilla, exotic spices, honey, dried fruit, and sweet oak.
Palate: Powerful, creamy, with notes of dark chocolate, honey, cloves, roasted malt, and subtle nuances of incense, leather, and floral notes imparted by the Mizunara oak.
Finish: Long, complex, with a warm blend of vanilla, oak spice, and subtle smokiness.

Kaiyo "The Kuri" Wood Cask Strength is a unique Japanese whisky known for its maturation in Japanese chestnut wood (Kuri) and its cask strength bottling. It offers a distinctive flavor profile with notes of drying wood, incense, lavender, raisin, and raspberry, with a long, warming finish.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromatic notes of honeyed sweetness, toasted nuts, and subtle spice are complemented by floral accents of lavender, jasmine, and citrus.
Palate: The palate is full of creamy textures and sweet, fruity notes of pear, plum, and raspberry, which are balanced by toasted nuts, caramel, and a peppery or gingerbread spice from the kuri wood.
Finish: The finish is long and warming, offering lingering flavors of toasted nuts, baked goods, and dried fruits, along with a touch of oak and a sweet, delicate spice.
