Tasting Notes
Nose: The fragrance is floral, with some soft fruit, pepper, and notes of honeydew mixed with a touch of heat.
Palate: Bold for such a light whisky. It's really bright with melon flavors mixed with apricot.
Finish: Not a long finish, but in the end was able to pick up some pepper.
Mars Iwai Aki Wine Cask Finish
A limited-edition Japanese whisky from Mars Shinshu, finished in ex-Napa Valley Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Smooth and autumn-inspired, it offers aromas of dried cherry, vanilla, and spice; flavors of peaches, honey, and baked apples; and a lingering jammy red fruit finish.
