Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse
Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse Bourbon, part of the Single Rickhouse Collection, is a limited-release bourbon that explores the influence of a specific rickhouse on the whiskey's flavor profile. Each release in the collection is crafted from barrels aged in a single rickhouse, offering a unique taste experience based on its location. For example, the Camp Nelson B release is known for its high proof (120.2) and notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and cherry. The Camp Nelson F release offers aromas of oak, vanilla, and sweet cream, transitioning to cinnamon, spice, and floral notes on the nose, with flavors of cherry, raisin, and dark honey on the palate, followed by a finish of spice, mature oak, char, and pepper. The Camp Nelson C release, the inaugural release, is rich and decadent, with a unique blend of flavors derived from its optimal center cut floors.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense, aromatic layers of French vanilla, rich cherry pie filling, and deep rickhouse oak mingle with hints of blackberry jam and baking spices.
Palate: A thick, syrupy mouthfeel delivers robust flavors of cola, baked brown sugar, cinnamon, barrel-aged medicinal cherry, and creamy caramel.
Finish: Long and savory, leaving a lingering, complex trail of singed molasses, charred oak, toasted tobacco, and antique leather.
Booker's Granny's Batch (2020-01)
This batch is made up of barrels from two different production dates that were aged in six different locations within four rackhouses. The breakdown of barrel storage is as follows: 24% came from the 6th floor of 9-story warehouse G, 22% came from the 4th floor of 9-story warehouse H, 16% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse L, 24% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse L, 10% came from the 6th floor of 7-story warehouse L, 4% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse P. I selected “Granny's Batch” on a sunny, chilly January day and found the color to be a light chestnut with a beautiful sparkle as the sunlight shone through it. I thoroughly enjoy the nose of Granny's Batch with spice and hints of vanilla coming through. The taste fills your mouth with flavor and warmth that spreads across your palate, and it has a sweet, lingering finish. I am very proud to name this batch for my grandmother- and Dad's mom- who I know would have enjoyed her evening highball made with Granny's Batch of Booker's Bourbon.
