This expression of the Calumet Farm Bourbon family is our most aged and highest proof to date. It is Non-Chill Filtered for added depth of character and color.

Nose: Beginning notes of woody-char and smoke subside to reveal softer scents of toasted almonds and fresh-cut summer hay. As the spirit opens up, lighter notes of citrus and orange mix with darker floral and cherry scents to complete the experience
Palate: Saturated oak, warm rye spice, cherries, dark fruits, baking spice, fresh baked bread, toasted toffee, and light corn meal dryness.
Finish: Lighter than expected, with toasted grains, smokiness, wood sugars, and oak.

Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Russell's Reserve Small Batch Single Barrel Bourbon is made in Kentucky using a generations-old mash recipe. After the grains are harvested, they are mashed and fermented before being distilled to a lower proof than at other distilleries in Kentucky (meaning that less water is used in diluting the bourbon after it is matured). Matured in heavily charred casks under the intense Kentucky sun, this single-cask bourbon is made by a master distiller with over 50 years of distilling experience.

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). Palate: Spicy, bold, and deeply complex with creamy toffee, licorice, and vanilla.
