Penelope Bourbon Architect

Working in collaboration with Tonnellerie Radoux of France, the market leader in oak barrel manufacturing and innovation, we selected each stave using their state-of-the-art OakScan process to construct a truly memorable flavor profile. After all, the best architecture leaves no room for error.

Nose: Sweet candied cream and floral with hints of crème brûlée.
Palate: Sweet vanilla and viscous cream with some savory oak notes. Creamy sweetness transitions from the forward notes and into the body, herbal, floral and cream.
Finish: Rich vanilla that leaves a long lingering finish with some heat.

Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Russell's Reserve Small Batch Single Barrel Bourbon is made in Kentucky using a generations-old mash recipe. After the grains are harvested, they are mashed and fermented before being distilled to a lower proof than at other distilleries in Kentucky (meaning that less water is used in diluting the bourbon after it is matured). Matured in heavily charred casks under the intense Kentucky sun, this single-cask bourbon is made by a master distiller with over 50 years of distilling experience.

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). Nose: Vanilla, nuts, brown sugar with notes of oak and cinnamon.
Palate: Spicy, bold, and deeply complex with creamy toffee, licorice, and vanilla.
Finish: Sweet spice and malty notes.
