Suntory The Chita   [CHEET-ah]
The first single grain whisky from the House of Suntory Whisky. Continuing 40 years of excellence in distilling Japanese grain whiskies at Chita distillery, the House of Suntory Whisky's Master Blenders have created an outstanding single grain whisky. In 1972, on the shores of Chita Peninsula, Keizo Saji—Suntory's second Master Blender—built a distillery dedicated to creating the highest quality Japanese grain whisky. With versatile flavours and exquisite balance, Chita grain whiskies have traditionally been used as the "dashi" or broth that enhances the harmony of Suntory blends.Through continuous research and innovation, Chita's grain whiskies have achieved an unrivaled sophistication and a level of complexity that lets them finally take center stage.

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
To craft Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey, master distiller Jeff Arnett of Lynchburg, TN first selects one out of every hundred barrels for its unique and expressive qualities. Once these special casks have been identified, they are moved to the very top of the distillery's rickhouses, where extreme temperature changes facilitate dramatic interactions between the whiskey and the wood (by law, “Tennessee whiskey” must be aged new, charred American oak barrels). Finally, each barrel is bottled individually at 94 proof, resulting in truly “one-of-a-kind” flavors in every bottle.

Part of the  Brown-Forman family of brands.
Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Classic aroma of vanilla, caramel, brown sugar and even some cinnamon.
Palate: On the palate, notes of oak and charcoal become evident, along with sweeter touches of orange peel and honey.
Finish: The finish is sweet and spicy, with flavors of butterscotch and clove lingering on the tongue.
