The eighth release of this expression has been matured for 10 years in both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in an exquisitely rich and full-bodied single malt. With each Cask Strength release, Master Blender Rachel Barrie selects the perfect marriage of these two cask styles before bottling without chill filtration and at high strength, as was the custom before the turn of the 20th century.

Nose: Sandalwood, oak balsam and aromatic Colombian coffee, with dark manuka honey, cocoa and Brazil nut.
Palate: Like sipping velvet, with flavours of mocha, caramel macchiato and cherry chocolate cake, layered with dates, plum skin and sultana.
Finish: Savour the exceedingly long finish of espresso coffee and cocoa, with traces of liquorice and cherry tobacco.

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Nose: The alcohol is immediately noticeable and jumps right out of the glass. Hiding behind the alcohol are dry oak, caramel, and a dab of vanilla.
Palate: Strong and full of flavor, this bold bourbon boasts an incredible deep and smoky taste, superbly balanced with sweet vanilla and notes of caramel.
Finish: Strong finish with heat from the alcohol, fading into a long oaky peppery finish.
