Nose: Fresh Madagascan vanilla pod, caramelized toffee and dark roast coffee with hints of lavender honey.
Palate: Smooth and mellow through the mouth. Notes of smoked meats, with nuances of hops and white pepper spice with an overlay of wet river stone are the signature flavors of this complex barrel proof whiskey.
Finish: Creme brulee sweet crust followed by a light Habano tobacco smokiness.

This bourbon underwent a distinct filtering process,forgoing the typical chill filtration and passing only through a plate and frame filter. Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). Nose: The alcohol is immediately noticeable and jumps right out of the glass. Hiding behind the alcohol are dry oak, caramel, and a dab of vanilla.
Palate: Strong and full of flavor, this bold bourbon boasts an incredible deep and smoky taste, superbly balanced with sweet vanilla and notes of caramel.
Finish: Strong finish with heat from the alcohol, fading into a long oaky peppery finish.
