Little Book Chapter 7: In Retrospect
Little Book Chapter 7, “In Retrospect,” is the seventh chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series. “In Retrospect” offers any curious whiskey drinker a chance to explore where American Whiskey can go by looking back to where it's been. Now, with six chapters written, the seventh chapter of Little Book pushes the story ahead, building on what's come before in ways not yet seen. Little Book Chapter 7 is a blend of seven different liquid streams, blending one liquid from each of the previous chapters, then adding a record seventh. “In Retrospect” is a nod to the past but also sets the course for what's next, not only for Little Book, but Freddie's continued journey as Eighth Generation Master Distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery. LITTLE BOOK “IN RETROSPECT” IS COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING LIQUID STREAMS: 18yrs Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 17yrs Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 10yrs Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, 9yrs Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 5yrs Straight Malt Whiskey finished in Applewood Smoked barrels, 4yrs Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 4yrs Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey.

Michter's 10 Year Old Bourbon
Aged for ten years, this single barrel bourbon was named the "Best American Whiskey" by Food & Wine Magazine. "It's on the spendy side for what it is, and it's pretty hard to lay your hands on, but if you're in need of a gift for your father-in-law, this is a home run." - The Whiskey Wash

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: An aroma of espresso, toffee, caramel, and whipped cream.
Palate: Notes of spices predominate on the palate, and are complemented by touches of maple syrup and vanilla.
Finish: The finish is medium-long, with touches of tobacco, old leather and figs.
