Old Fitzgerald 19 Year Old image
Larceny Bourbon Old Fitzgerald 19 Year Old
Old Fitzgerald is a brand with a rich history, being first registered in 1884. During Prohibition, the brand was sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle. Since 1999, Old Fitzgerald operates under the Heaven Hill banner, and the whiskey is distilled at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Heaven Hill releases their Old Fitzgerald Bottled-In-Bond whiskey biannually: once in autumn and once in spring. The bottle is inspired by an original 1950s decanter, reflecting the rich history of the brand. The Fall 2022 release is a Kentucky straight bourbon that was distilled in 2003 from a mash bill of 75% corn, 20% wheat, and 5% malted barley. After patiently maturing for 19 years, the whiskey was bottled in October of 2022 at 100 proof.

Part of the  Heaven Hill Distilleries family of brands.
Note: This whisky is part of an ongoing series, with variability between each release due to differences in mash bill, barrels used, age profile, and others. If the specific version is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose is pleasantly spicy with baking spice, pepper, and dark fruit aromas.
Palate: The palate is rich, complex, and gently sweet with butterscotch, dried fig, spices, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate.
Finish: The finish is long with baking spices, toasted oak, and cocoa.
E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof
Crafted from hand-selected barrels, this bourbon is bottled directly from the barrel; uncut and unfiltered at more than 125 proof. It reflects the way whiskey was produced in the days before Prohibition, when Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was the owner of Buffalo Trace Distillery. Drawn from barrels aged in warehouses constructed over a century ago under Taylor's watchful eye, the taste is smooth, yet powerful and uncompromising, just like its namesake.

Part of the  The Sazerac Company family of brands.
Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma of cooked berries meets the nose, followed by a rich caramel and slightly floral smell.
Palate: The taste is bold and full of spice that fills the mouth with a distinct flavor of toasty vanilla, dried oak and pepper.
Finish: The finish is long and satisfying with a powerful rye character and lingering hints of fruit.
