Wilderness Trail Single Barrel Bourbon
Our high in small grain Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys are offered as a Single Barrel- Bottled in Bond. Two special releases in one bottle! The Single Barrel selection offers nuances only premium cooper select barrels can create from their toasting and using 18-month-old air-dried staves. After all, the barrels impart a large part of the flavor. Our Bottled in Bond release mash bill is 64 percent corn, 24 percent wheat and 12 percent malted barley using our yeast strains. This is one of the highest ratios of wheat used in a Bourbon made in Kentucky.

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose opens with grain, salted caramel, vanilla, and a touch of spice.
Palate: The oily palate is particularly well-balanced with notes of caramel, popcorn, fruit, leather, and oak.
Finish: Finishes medium long with pleasant caramel, grain, fruity, and spicy notes.
Baker's Single Barrel 7 Year Old
Named for a truck-driving, motorcycle-riding, bourbon-loving, hardworking whiskey man, Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon is a singular experience. A big, bold bourbon that was created by one legend to honor another. Every drop of bourbon in a Baker's bottle comes from one single barrel. And once those bottles are gone, they're gone. Which means you'll discover layers of unique, subtle nuances in every bottle you pick up. That's what makes Baker's so special. Baker has always believed the ideal bourbon is made according to three fundamental rules: First, it's aged at least seven years because that's the sweet spot for getting big vanilla notes from the charred oak barrel. Second, a great bourbon carries substantial flavor. And third, when he tries it, he better like it. These rules might seem simple, but they make for one hell of a bourbon.
