FAE-01 (2021 Limited Release) image
Maker's Mark FAE-01 (2021 Limited Release)
Our third limited release from the Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series joins our previous years' expressions in honoring our signature bourbon- this time, amplifying the naturally present dried fruit and woody richness in a distinctively Maker's way. We like to say it tastes exactly how our barrel warehouse smells, with rich figgy notes complemented by tobacco undertones and a pleasantly dank woodiness.

Part of the  Beam Suntory family of brands.
Note: This whisky is part of an ongoing series, with variability between each release due to differences in mash bill, barrels used, age profile, and others. If the specific version is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Heavy wood, dark fruit and tobacco.
Palate: Deep and dried dark fruits, big midpalate with strong tobacco and barrel extractives.
Finish: Creamy, lingering and round.
W.L. Weller Full Proof
William Larue Weller developed his original bourbon recipe with wheat, rather than rye. Bottled at the same 114 proof the spirit was when it entered into the barrel, this non-chill filtered wheated bourbon forgoes chill filtration to preserve all the naturally occurring residual oils and flavors that occur during the distillation and aging process (potentially making it appear cloudy at cold temperatures). This bourbon balances a rich mouth feel, with robust notes of vanilla and oak. A whiskey that satisfies the demand of the non-chill filtered whiskey enthusiasts, honoring the man who made wheated bourbon legendary.

Part of the  The Sazerac Company family of brands.
Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A nose of vanilla, dark cherries and caramel.
Palate: On the palate, there is a balance of caramel and toasted oak.
Finish: The finish is said to be long, with notes of creme brulee and chocolate.
