Part of the  Diageo family of brands.
Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The unique character has banana on the nose along with a hint of vanilla.
Palate: It's creamy on the palate with a pleasant sweetness, along with some peppery spice.
Finish: The finish is medium with oak and pepper notes.
Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2012
Our Islay barley series has always been a mission. For many years now we've sought to showcase the phenomenon of “terroir” in single malt whisky- the belief that soil, climate, micro-climate, geographic orientation, natural influences and local weather systems will influence the quality and flavour profile of the spirit, making it a unique expression of 'place'. Bruichladdich Islay barley 2012 is distilled from barley grown on eight western and central Islay farms in 2011.

Part of the  Remy Cointreau family of brands.
Note: This whisky is part of an ongoing series, with variability between each release due to differences in mash bill, barrels used, age profile, and others. If the specific version is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose is light, delicate, and floral with creamy vanilla, honey, fruit, and citrus aromas. The sweetness of the Islay grain comes through beautifully along with hints of oak spice, toffee, and chocolate.
Palate: On the palate, you'll find cereal, oak, as well as Bruichladdich's characteristic fruity and floral notes, as well as a pleasant creaminess with brown sugar and toffee.
Finish: There's brine on the finish with salted caramel, charred oak, and fruit.
