The Glenlivet 18 Year Old
Over the course of 18 years our Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, takes this expression through a combination of cask types, including both first and second-fill American oak (for tropical fruitiness) and ex-sherry oak (for spicy complexity). The result of this deft navigation of the distilling arts is a gorgeous single malt that is complex, yet elegant and balanced. The 18 Year Old has won more awards than any other expression; every bottle is a true example of the quality and taste of The Glenlivet. Palate: Balanced, bursts of sweet orange, raisins, ripe citrus, winter spice.

Aberlour 18 Year Old
Spicy and luxurious. The mature, deep, spicy one: a deeper Sherry influence adds more spiciness and a liquorice tang. Greater age adds body and develops the distinctive fruitiness to a rich raisin character.

Nose: Rich and complex notes of toffee and butterscotch combine with ripe peach and bitter orange.
Palate: Perfect structure. Initial notes of soft apricot and cream are offset by developing flavours of blackcurrant jam and sweet oak with a touch of honey.
Finish: Very long and balanced, progresses from creme brulee to a gentle oak flourish
